Diego Varela

I got a degree in Economics from Universidade da Coruña, and both an MSc in European Studies and a PhD in Government from the London School of Economics and Political Science. I was also a Robert Schuman scholar in the European Parliament. In 2002 I got a grant from the European Commission to establish a Jean Monnet module on The Government of the European Union at Universidade da Coruña. Between 2008 and 2012 I was an adjunct professor (profesor asociado) at the Faculty of Economics and Business of this university. I am also the executive editor of the European Journal of Government and Economics. My current research interests are European Union institutions and public policy analysis, and am willing to supervise research students with interests similar to my own.
